About the Conference
The Louisiana Women in Agriculture Conference is a 2-day annual conference with the goal of growing Louisiana’s future in agriculture through education, networking and inspiration. Everybody is invited to attend, and the conference includes a Thursday cocktail party, and Friday inspirational speakers and educational booths. Registration is $50 for the event.
Project Scope
NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Services), a division of USDA, came to us to resurrect their Louisiana Women in Agriculture Conference. The past attendance had dwindled to under 10, and all consisting of USDA employees. They needed to brand the conference, gain local business support, and create an event that would inspire local farmers and ag industry employees.
Kinetix created a logo, brand, website and materials, created a budget, reached out to local businesses for financial support, and created marketing and advertising campaigns to attract attendees. Kinetix was on-hand to do event management and planning before and during the event, from goodie bags to decorating to sign-in and coordinating. We also were in constant communication with sponsors and attendees through Facebook and emails. In 2017, the conference had 120 attendees and 10 sponsors. This past year, the conference grew to 260 participants from Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Arkansas, and 27 sponsors. In 2019, we are expecting to grow the conference to over 300 participants with over 30 sponsorships.
The most rewarding result of the conference has been to see the pride of the women (and men) who attend a conference that was made for them. The cost of registration is only $50, and the goal is, and will forever be, to maintain an affordable cost so that farmers across the state will be able to attend.
