I purchased a piece of art from Annie working at my very first fete a few years ago, and it has been hanging at my desk ever since. Every year, I look out for her booth, and I was lucky that she finally returned at the 2024 River Fete. She had painted a heron, which I felt was meant for me because the heron is a very important symbol in the Monroe community, and I have built strong ties and will be living in Monroe as a resident. That same piece of art is now hanging in my office in Monroe today!
